Be seen. Be heard. Make an impact. You’re invited to use digital art to speak to the one issue we all face simultaneously: Environmental stewardship for our family, our community, the planet. The artists selected for the Common Ground Collection 2008 of limited edition museum quality prints will be featured in a media relations campaign aimed at print, broadcast and online media, as well as included in our international touring exhibition to sites in China, North America and Europe. A portion of all revenues will be donated to support selected environmental projects around the world. There are NO fees for submissions. Open to all digital artists: creative artists whose works are initiated and/or manipulated using computer technology. We invite artists to submit up to 3 finished digital art images. Molded Earth – Call for Entries

The Torpedo Factory Art Center’s Target Gallery is pleased to present Molded Earth, a media specific juried exhibition aimed at exploring current trends in both functional and non-functional contemporary ceramics. This exhibition is open to all artists both nationally and internationally. Juror: We are fortunate to have contemporary ceramics expert and collector Judith Weisman as our curator. Ms. Weisman has had several articles published that address her expertise in the field of contemporary crafts in magazines such as American Style and Better Homes and Gardens. Her professional affiliations include serving as a consultant for the British Craft Council, on the Board of Trustees for the American Craft Council and the James Renwick Alliance Board. She has been a juror for many exhibitions to include most recently the Smithsonian Crafts Show and the Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival. Show dates: December 13, 2007 – January 20, 2008.Deadline: Wednesday, September 12, 2007. Reception and Gallery Talk: Thursday, December 13, 6-8pm. Juror will review work via digital image only. All slides submitted will be scanned and put onto a CD requiring an additional charge of $3 per slide entered. Fees: $30 for digital CDs (up to 3 pieces can be submitted with 1 detail image per piece) for slide submissions an additional charge of $3 per slide is required.
