The competition is open to all artists over 18 years of age, national and international, working in all media. All forms of painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, graphics, digital and installation art are eligible, except video art. Works do not have to be for sale. 1 (or 2) artist will be selected for the following awards:One solo (or two-person) exhibition of the artist winners will be held at the Dangenart Gallery, June 2 to June 30, 2007. Gallery Representation and Promotion Awards: All winners are offered a free six-month representation period by Dangenart Gallery. Services include: 1. Internet Promotion: Winners’ works will be featured for six months on the Dangenart Gallery web site, exposing the artist’s work to all interested Internet viewers. 2. Marketing campaign to various contemporary art galleries and to the private Dangenart Gallery art buyers list.3. Monthly art reception hosted by Dangenart. There is a $40 entry fee per artist (not refundable.) For 2D work, you must provide at least 10, but up to 20, slides, prints or digital image files. For installation works and sculptures, detailed shots are required and you can provide as many slides as your works require.Make your check or money order in US funds, payable to Dangenart. If you live in Houston you are invited to submit one piece of flat art that illustrates how Hispanic heritage thrives in your local community. All works of art will be reviewed by an esteemed panel of local judges who will select three finalists who will each receive a cash prize. The top winning artist will receive $3000, and the winning art will be featured on the cover of the next local edition of Directorio en Español and commemorative posters, and be a part of a concerted local PR and media campaign. ONLINE GALLERY – ART CONTEST – ALL MEDIUMS
This May, Projekt30 will host its Noir Exhibition. We are looking for artwork which is dreamlike, strange, erotic, ambivalent, and/or cruel. The exhibition will include thirty artists; invitations will be distributed to over 50,000 galleries, collectors, and fellow artists. All applicants will be posted online to be juried by visitors of Projekt30. The final exhibition will consist of work from 30 artists. The Exhibition will run concurrently with our May, June, and July exhibitions, May 17th to July 14th. Visitors have the option of contacting any participating artist with feedback or opportunities. Fort Collins, CO – 2D Photographic Competition
The exhibition is open to domestic and international students working with digital or traditional photography or combinations of both. Submitters must be currently enrolled as full-time or part time students in a high school, college or independent school program. Submitters do NOT have to be enrolled in a photography program. Juror: Hannah Frieser- Hannah is active in the Society for Photographic Education and director of Light Work, a non-profit organization in Syracuse, NY, dedicated to the support of emerging and underrepresented artists working in photography and related media.Selected images will be on exhibit at The Center for Fine Art Photography’s gallery from June 1 – 9, 2007. Juror’s Selection award: Canon Rebel XT digital camera and lens + Special Recognition in Artists’ ShowCase, the Center’s feature section in CameraArts magazine. Director’s Selection award: $100 and recognition in Artists’ ShowCase.
