SOCIAL SAUCE CHARACTER DESIGN COMPETITION

Social Sauce, a Manhattan based Venture Capital backed start-up, is conducting an design/illustration contest. This competition is open to any designer anywhere in the world.Design 3 virtual characters according to the following specifications:1. Human male character wearing T-shirt and jeans, 2. Human female character wearing T-shirt and jeans, and 3. Any character of your imagination. Each virtual character should be designed on a 300 pixel wide X 600 pixel height white background. Must be in .jpeg file format. Entries must be entirely designed and submitted by the author of the original work of art. Entries are limited to one per person. All entries become the property of Social Sauce and will not be returned. Entries submitted without the completion of the required entry form will not be accepted. $1,000 US cash will be awarded to the artist of the most outstanding entry. Entries will be judged based on quality and popularity. Those judging will be asked to select the design they identify with the most, and also which design is their favorite. Finalists will be determined by Social Sauce. Winner will be chosen by the high school and college aged public. Social Sauce reserves the right not to grant an award if, in its sole judgment, none of the entries are worthy. The Winner’s and other outstanding works will be posted on the Social Sauce website. Access: A Feminist Perspective – National Juried Exhibition

Photographer’s Forum Magazine – 27th Annual College Photography Contest

RayMar’s Second Annual Fine Art Competition

A year long painting competition with $26,500 in prizes! Monthly contest deadlines are the 31st of each month until July 31st 2007. There is a one-time $25 registration fee for the entire competition, Each submission is $10.00. All paintings must be on RayMar Panels. Paintings must be oil or acrylic. Only Digital submissions are permitted. No size limitation. No restriction on subject matter. No limit to the number of paintings submitted in any month or during the year long competition. The same painting can be submitted in different months unless it has already been selected as a finalist. Paintings should be unsigned to avoid name recognition. A juror will select 12 finalists from the paintings submitted that month and provide a critique for each painting. The twelve paintings and critiques selected each month will be displayed on the Raymar Art competition website. They will be posted on the 15th of the following month. 144 finalists will be selected during the 12-month competition. 12 winners will be selected in October 2007.
