The Center for Fine Art Photography promotes the art of photography and the efforts of creative artists through its exhibitions and publications. It invites U.S. and International photographers to submit their work, accepting all forms of photography, both traditional and digital and those working in the avant garde. Positive / Negative – this theme focuses on issues of opposites, such as: masculine/feminine, pessimism/optimism, inside/outside, open/closed, reality/imagination. $1,000 in awards. Feature Artist presentation in Artists’ ShowCase, an eight-page insert in the June issue of CameraArts magazine. Director’s Selection: Special Recognition in the the published and online editions of Artists’ ShowCase. 8 additional artists will also be included in the print edition of Artists’ ShowCase. All exhibitors are included in the Center’s Online Edition of Artists’ ShowCase. 20 works will be selected for the post-exhibition traveling show to the Denver International Airport’s main gallery. Inclusion in the Center’s 2006 Exhibition Collection CD which is distributed to selected galleries, collectors, design houses and corporations world wide. Artists whose works are featured in Artists’ ShowCase will receive additional copies for their portfolio. Juror: Ellen Fleurov – president of Crossroads Traveling Exhibitions. Ellen Flerov’s Atlanta-based company organizes tours of photography exhibitions to museums and cultural venues internationally. She also consults with museums, cultural and civic organizations about many associated activities, including exhibition and event planning. Clients include: Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego.
