Projekt30′s – “The Sex Issue” – Online Competition

This February, Projekt30 will host its first theme exhibition: “The Sex Issue” in which fine artists may comment upon gender and sex in our society. We are accepting work ranging from the personal, to the political, to the near-pornographic. The exhibition will be publicly juried: Artwork submitted will be presented prior to the exhibition so visitors may help select what will be included, unlike other juried exhibitions everyone receives exposure. The final exhibition will consist of work from 30 artists. It will run from February 14th to March 31. Mailings will be distributed to galleries and organizations in New York City and California. RayMar’s First Annual Fine Art Competition

RayMar’s First Annual Fine Art Competition, Grand Prize $10,000. Open to all painters. Any subject, any size, but work must be on a RayMar cotton or linen plein aire panel. Each month, 12 finalists are selected and posted on our website with a critique by a famous artist juror. The twelve paintings and critiques selected each month will be displayed on the Raymar Art competition website. They will be posted on the 15th of the following month. A winning artist will be required to send in the original paintings for authentication. The artist is responsible for insuring the painting. A professional photographer will photograph the winning paintings for inclusion in a 2007 calendar. Each of the winning paintings with its critique will be a month in the calendar. 2nd prize – one week in Chateau de Arts, France. 3rd Prize – $2,000. 4th/12th prize – $1000. Digital submissions only. They also produce the annual Saskatoon International Fringe Festival and the Her-icane Festival of Women’s Art. The Her-icane Festival celebrates the creativity of women in a multitude of artistic expressions which include: performance (dance, music & theatre), visual and literary arts. Starbrick Clay National is open to ceramic artists residing in the US who are at least 18 years old. All works, sculptural, decorative and functional must be original, be made primarily of clay and must have been completed in the last two years. Work should not exceed 50 lbs. or 40” in any direction. Juror is CHRIS STALEY, Professor of Art at Penn State University since 1990. Entry fee is $20 for up to 3 entries. 2006 Art for Healing Gala Call for Entries, Any 2 or 3-D media including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpture jewelry, textiles, etc. is eligible. Maximum of two entries per artist. Artists working in any fine art or craft medium are encouraged to apply. Works must be original and completed within the past three years and not previously shown at AVA or Memorial Hospital. Artwork must be available for sale at this silent auction event. The juror will review images of original artwork only. No reproductions will be accepted. Selection from Digital Images: the juror will conduct a comprehensive selection from high-resolution digital images. Digital images may be submitted via email or on a cd. Slides may be submitted but will be subject to a $5 handling fee.Entry Process: Artists may submit one (1) image/slide of each 2-D work entered. Artists may submit two (2) images/ slides of each 3-D work entered (one detail is allowed). A maximum of two works may be submitted.
