Hilo, HI – 2D – PRINT ART COMPETITION
The 2006 PACIFIC STATES BIENNIAL NATIONAL PRINT EXHIBITION runs February – April, 2006 at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, Campus Center Gallery. The Juror is John T. Scott. He is a sculptor/printmaker and is currently a professor of fine arts at Xavier University of Louisiana and was the recipient of a John D. and Katherine T. MacArthur Fellowship in 1992. $3000.00 is available for purchase awards. Competition is open to all artists 18 years or older presently residing in the United States and territories. Original work in all printmaking media including monoprints and monotypes are eligible (no photographs). Accepted work can not exceed 30×40″ frame dimensions. For preliminary jurying only slides will be accepted (No original work should be sent until requested). Slides of work by artists accepted for the exhibition will be retained for the slide collection of the Art Department. Entry fee:$30.00 per artist – 1-2 works.
